The Chasco Fiesta™ Street Parade located in Downtown New Port Richey is the second largest street parade in the Tampa Bay area. We are projecting at least 80,000 people at this year’s parade. This event is hosted by the Holiday Rotary, which puts in hundreds of volunteer hours in order to make our parade a success.
There are approximately 140 units in the parade, of which 40 are professional floats. Lots of Krewes participate in the parade which means plenty of beads to catch. Awards are given to Professional Floats and Non Professional Floats in the following categories: Best Special Effects, Most Entertaining, Best Use of Color, and Most Outstanding. There is also an award given to Best Out of Town Entry.
The theme for this year is Viva FL 500, commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Sate of Florida. So whether you are a native or a transplant, come out and show your Floridian Pride!
